The #Iphone Duo is pretty cool. It looks like the size of my iPad mini. But the thing with these new folding phones is....they crease, and the screens don't last that long. I've heard of people with those Samsung ones that just split right in half. I'll wait for better nano-materials...but the iPhone 18 is nice though. But...no fucking release date for Golden Gate....THAT's what I'm wanting!!! #apple
@praetor Apple has put a metric ton of engineering into that hinge so it is going to be interesting to see how durable it is. I don’t think Apple would have shipped it if they didn’t think it would hold up but I’ve seen how people treat their phones. 😣
@moelassus exactly. People are downright abusive to their phones. Apple tends to jump on bandwagons when the engineering nd technology is right. Like right now, they are the last on the ai game, and leaning heavily into local-first technology….I think they are doing it right, and probably will with the foldable thing too.
