Today I learned that my favorite jazz singer, Cassandra Wilson, is 70.

That fact is a mind-blower to me, because my image of her is from about 30 years ago.

And the reason it even came up is that she died at 70, two days ago.

I love every recording I've heard of her, especially her take on "I Can't Stand The Rain" with Chris Whitley. I hate the inevitable flow of time.
