Are there other countries than Sweden and Norway where all main roads seem to be E-roads https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_E-road_network ? And if some road is an E-road, that is how everyone refers to it, even if it might have some completely different domestic road number.
At least in Finland, even though we do have a fair number of E-roads, too, and a majority of the important roads are E-roads, they aren't referred to using those numbers in everyday talk.
It must be confusing for a driver from Sweden, for instance, to ask for advice in Finland, "should I take the E12 or E75" and get a blank stare in reply from the common man. As I assume would happen?
