Finished Halcyon Years by Alistair Reynolds last night. I am a fan of Reynolds, and this book did not disappoint. This is on the lighter side of his work, less hard sci fi, and more of a great tale set in a sci fi world.

It starts out like a typical "Sam Spade" novel but slowly grows into a more complex narrative set on a generation ship headed for a far away star. The Detective is Yuri Gagarin.

I won't go deep to avoid spoiling, but I highly recommend this one.
