I say this as someone who uses little to no proprietary software.

Dude doesn't even do open source work to my knowledge so he has little room to talk shit being I can't even remember the last game of his I gave a shit about. The Witness was the last game of his I played and it just felt pretentious. Hilarious to see him double down that VLC should be to blame when windows shits itself every week.
