The more I think about problems in the world, and how folks shout that “common sense isn’t common anymore,” the more I realize that we live in a society where we don’t accept that humans are—and probably in higher numbers than you’d like—really fucking stupid sometimes.
And ironically, I think we would make better decisions and solutions if we collectively realized that.
Context:
A thought triggered by a comment on a video of a truck crashing under a bridge that was too low to cross in the USA.
Someone asked why this keeps happening and suggested better signage.
But this type of accident happens all over the world, even with better signage, and even under YouTube-famous bridges.
Sometimes people just fuck around and find out. 🤷🏻♀️

The 8'8'' bridge would like a word about "better signage"...
Because not even multiple signs, a gargantuan flashing "overheight must turn", and a freaking height-triggered red light will prevent people from driving full speed into the bridge...
So, hard agree that the amount of stupidity going around is much higher than anyone can fathom...
