    The problem with that to me is that it's like we have a big tub of water almost full but not quite. We don't want to overfill it because the overflow will damage everything below it. We can slow the filling down by throttling the tap filling it, but unless we remove some of the water, it will still fill up. It'll just take longer.

    And adding a bunch of water balloons to the tub to gain access to the tap for throttling, speeds up the fill at least in the short term. Depending on how close to overflowing we are, it can make sense. But not if it’s already close.

    A capital, free market response just ensures that it will fill.
