Jul 17, 2026, 12:20 AMI got a speeding ticket today which sucks. Especially since I had just passed someone and was in the process of slowing down to my normal driving speed.

@raven it was just barely high enough to trigger the extra fine for “super speeding“. Which is 19 miles or higher over the speed limit.
I was doing 75 in a 55 zone. To be fair that was slowed down from the 81 that I got up to to pass the vehicle.
And then the officer came around curve.
Joy. I estimate the fine at $350 plus points on my license and probably dinging my brother‘s insurance.I haven’t yet yet decided how how I’m gonna handle it

@raven I normally drive 60 to 65 through that area. Nobody drives 55 on that long straight road. I drive slower than most. I’m often passed in that area.
