Has anyone been to see 9 to 5 in their local theater?

Well, I have to admit that this would indeed be a blast from the past. Not that I am going to go. But it does bring back memories.

Fascinating listening.

@StefanEJones
I think you were the one who mentioned this podcast and drew my attention to it. Thank you! I’m gonna follow the rest of these if they were even remotely as good as this one.

Oh, look the land of eem is the drive-through RPG deal of the day. Well, the core rulebook. It’s three dollars instead of the usual $15.

“The Lord of the Rings meets The Muppets” in this lighthearted fantasy tabletop roleplaying game about exploration, discovery, and being creative!

A Novel

This is an epistolary novel. I’ve read a couple of the letters within and I’m quite looking forward to this read. I checked this out of the library, and I’m about to dig in. I mostly read fantasy and science fiction because I rarely found straight fiction Interesting.

Epistolary novels are my exception. I love the format and I know how hard it is to write a good letter.

“Mulaghesh runs.
She runs over the frozen hills, through muddy roads, around dank forests. She runs though her breath burns in her chest and her legs protest with each step“
…
“She likes running because it is the purest combat sport possible-the only thing you're fighting is yourself, with every step.”

So what is the preferred method for collecting funds when making a mutual aid request?
What is the right service to use?

Good news! The woman who collapsed on the Airport Luggage Carousel is slowly coming round.

“The Carrington Event remains the most powerful geomagnetic storm in the scientific record, with strong auroral displays occurring all over the world, causing sparking and even a few fires in telegraph stations.“
“Some operators found they were still able to transmit and receive messages even after disconnecting the power supply, relying just on the powerful auroral current.“

I got a chili cheese hotdog yesterday that was quite large and had a ton of chili. I got it to go.
It had no cutlery.
So I ate it at a rest stop picnic table. I ate it with my hands and used a lot of paper napkins.

It was tasty

I should get a frisbee at some point and do some frisbee golf. It looks fun. And frustrating.

Considering how many fiber related post I see going through my feed I find it hard to believe that this got as little traction as it did. Did nobody see it?

My ex tried to watch the Derry girls, but just could not follow their accents. Oddly enough, I have no trouble with their accents.

Oh man, I enjoyed the Derry girls. Not quite as much as these two enjoy the first episode of the Derry girls, but I enjoyed it.

Quite interested in listening to this one as well. Planet money is not a podcast I ever expected to become one of my favorites, but it is.

The in defense of plants podcast looks like another banger episode here!

So seeing a mastodon friend gush about it a couple of weeks ago, I printed out 10 copies of the one page RPG “lasers and feelings“
I’ve been sticking them in little free libraries. I know I’ll have to get up to a lot more than that before chance allows one to fall on fertile ground. But I can always hope.
#TTRPG #LasersAndFeelings

Hmmm. I’ve always been a big fan of young Frankenstein early next month here in North Georgia down in Marietta.

So I go out to YouTube, to snag a trailer for the old Harold and Maude movie from 1971. It popped into my head. Damn I watched that movie a lot when I was a teenager.
Anyway, this following short popped up.
And holy crap I feel bad for Mickey! I don’t know what this is but jeepers.

And it was substantially better than the House last week that when me and the person walked down the hallway, I could hear the roaches crunching under my feet.
