A long time ago, I worked for someone who claimed that Linux (and Debian) would never be popular because no one can decide how they're pronounced: lee-nooks, lye-nucks… deeb-yun, deb-ee-ann, etc.

He was obviously wrong.

But I do feel this comment every time I think about reducing reliance on GitHub, and using Forgejo. (Same goes every time I hear someone stumble over how to pronounce Xogot…)
