🚨 Cool Job Alert! Are you:
- a front-end dev (Sass, Vanilla JS, React)
- based in Austria / Vienna
- ideally with some backend knowledge (Python, Django, APIs)
- looking for work in a small, dedicated, remote team?
Let's talk! (reposts for reach appreciated)
Jun 12, 2026, 10:46 AM@mxbck So close, 3/4 :< 700 km north of Vienna 😅 @pepelsbey
@mxbck Freelances welcomed?
@konsonantenboy this would be a hired position
@konsonantenboy but if you'd be available in September/October, I would also keep that in mind 😅
@mxbck Please do :)
@mxbck why do they have to stay in Vienna when the team is remote? Just curious
@mr_harm we have an office in Vienna and need to be able to meet on occasion, but most of the day-to-day work is done remotely. Doesn't have to be Vienna but ideally driving distance.
@mxbck Hey there! 👋 I know a Vienna-based person who might be a good fit (he also has good Django knowledge). How should he hit you up?
@amureki awesome! Send them to hello@codista.com
@mxbck great, forwarded this. Thanks for sharing, Max! 🤝
@amureki 🙌👊
@mxbck I might know someone. Any info on the salary range, or an official job posting I could forward to them?
@mxbck Any TS there? :)
@mxbck remote team all based in one city?
@lontrachen I should clarify: we have an office in Vienna and need to be able to meet/work there occasionally, but the team is spread around Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland, so a lot of the day-to-day is done remotely. Does not have to be Vienna exactly, but ideally within driving distance.
@mxbck do you hire people that don't necessarily fit the profile right away?
Asking for a me, coming off a decade with C#, Unity (game engine) and doing native libraries with C++ (some WebRTC, graphics and platform specific APIs for Windows and Android).
Web stuff I've done in my spare time:
- https://carepackage17.codeberg.page/skeleton/
- https://addons.mozilla.org/de/android/addon/time-wasted-scrolling/
- a basic hitster clone (non-public repo, can show if you're interested)
I'm a jack of all trades and can learn new environments pretty well.
@mxbck should I apply or nah? My experience with job seeking for the past half a year has been "we found someone else that fit the profile better".
I am based in Vienna fwiw.
