My dad and I are thinking we need to get new iPhones. Both of us are totally blind. Is there any advantage for blind people in getting a 17 Pro over a 17? It looks like the 17 has one fewer GPU core, but still the full neural processor. Please boost for reach. Thanks.

@jaybird110127 Always had pro's since they came out. I thought the cameras made sense, and later lidar as well.
@FreakyFwoof @jaybird110127 Do you actually use LiDAR for anything? I don't really hear it talked about much.
Here I was thinking it would finally be safe to not get a Pro model phone because I've never used LiDAR, don't really care about the cameras for more than OCR, and the standard ones do that fine, and now Apple says the best on-device stuff needs 12GB RAM.
@BorrisInABox @FreakyFwoof @jaybird110127 The pro has better performance. Lidar is useful. Can get distance to objects. I would never not buy a pro, even if I had to wait because of money reasons. Also, the wide angle camera can be helpful in video calls, AIRA, etc.
@jaybird110127 Also, the USB C port on the non-pro models is usb2 not usb3.
