Yes, I can tell you started by posing a good question and then got bored and let an LLM fill out the hard parts. No, leaving a couple of typos in will not convince me otherwise. Yes, I will remember this in future interactions with you.

As with AI-generated images in blog posts, it would be so much better if you just left it out. Please. I’m begging you. Just publish the parts *you* wrote and leave the rest in your chatbot transcript

@sstephenson I think most of the time if they just included the prompt they used with the LLM instead of its response, that would be more meaningful

@joshsusser agreed! It would certainly be more honest. Seems like a lot of these people would rather pretend the statistically likely extrusion was their own brilliant insight

@sstephenson It seriously ruins everything for me. A podcast I used to like is now obviously using AI to generate reading lists and discussion points. Feels like such a waste of time to listen, even though the topics are of interest to me.

@leedo do they think it’s actually good? do they know it’s bad and think we can’t tell? or do they just not care at all?

@sstephenson I know they oppose datacenter buildouts and understand the negative effects on workers.

I even asked in their Patreon comments, and they acknowledged they use it to generate episode descriptions. But it's painfully obvious it's also being used for the structuring the shows themselves.

@sstephenson I think it's just too tempting for some people. It does make the show appear more structured and polished. Totally ruined it for me, though.
