    The current Labour mantra is, "There is nothing to see here."

    They point out the total number of councils Labour still controls nationally but this is both disingenuous & spectacularly fucking stupid.

    Because here’s the part they keep conveniently leaving out: only 136 of England’s 317 councils were even up for election. Roughly 43%. In other words, well over half the country never even had their chance to vote.

    So, the question is, not how it looks overall (as 57% were not in play), but how would it look if all of the UK had voted in the same proportion. The answer is in the graph on the right.
