Pleased to put my name to this important - and entirely un-radical - message in the SMH & Age today.
@timhollo and various other friends & relatives are there too. Notable that many many more Jewish people signed than could fit on this one page.
It's a small thing. It's 500 names + a whole lot more who couldn't fit. Some consider themselves anti-Zionist, some non-Zionist or post-Zionist. Some still consider themselves Zionist.
It doesn't use words like "genocide" or "colonialism" or even "occupation". But it's something.
I hope this visible gesture, including some prominent people (hey Ben Lee!), encourages more of our fellow Jews to allow themselves to think outside of the very small box that the mainstream Jewish community has constructed around itself - a box that's sliding ever-rightwards.
