I must say, Worf and Jadzia Dax is the best Star Trek pairing I've encountered so far. Almost everything else feels so forced. Chakotay & Seven is absolutely most forced of course. I was pretty sure that was a dream episode.

the pairing didn't have to change who they were at all, established before either of them made contact with each other. That's why it's pretty amazing.

Worf/Dax was great though I always wanted Worf/Troi to be a thing.

On my first watchthrough as a teenager I was absolutely hooked on the Odo/Kira Nerys romance. Can't quite explain why but I still think they had great chemistry :)

@eloquence Riker / Troi always felt far more natural to me than Worf / Troi though.

The Odo / Kira one was interesting, because Odo is basically a cop (I was just watching 'way of the warrior', where he is talking about how he basically reads everyone's mail) and Kira is an intense resistance fighter. I wish they had explored that dynamic some more.

Bashir / Ezri Dax was interesting as they were both played as bumbling teenagers, basically.

But the "really .. oh alright" aspect of Worf/Troi made it so fun to watch ;).

And yeah, there was a lot more to explore with Odo & Kira. Everything kind of drowned in the dominion war arc after a while.
