Forgot to remove Find My from a Macbook that I sold, then simply couldn’t erase and remove it remotely: it would come back every time the buyer tried to get in again.

In the end I was tossing up a full refund, or giving them my Apple password. Settled on the latter, with a new password generated and my finger hovering over the save button as I read out my old password. Not sure I’d recommend that approach, but at least they were happy. And I have a new password for the first time since 2015.

For people experiencing data poverty, accessing essential government services can come with a very real cost.

Whether someone is claiming benefits, accessing health services, looking for work, finding safety advice, or simply trying to understand their rights. I don’t believe they should have to pay for mobile data to access public services they have already helped fund through taxation.

The petition calls for UK Government websites and online services to be zero-rated, meaning they would not use a person’s mobile data allowance or require them to have paid data available.

Open source, as we have known it, was fun while it lasted. (It’s been 15 years for me)

I will still maintain projects and handle issues.

Picked up an old project again to make another concerted effort to get it finished. I don’t think I’ll complete it this time around, but hopefully it won’t feel like quite such a millstone at the end. Unfortunately it’s sunk cost agogo with this one.
