Instead of trying to explain how #trump is exceptional in his ability to fail and not fall, it’s necessary to look at the unique ecosystem of right now.

60% of Americans vote. Among those, half are Republicans. So 1/3 of the people Americans see at the grocery store are adjacently Trumpers. But of those, probably half are apoplectic rage baiters, nose for face self owners, who will die to kill. Contrarian doesn’t begin to cut it. Angry at the world (rightfully) (1/x)

they will poison their punch to kill their enemy. Their enemy is also confusion. In complex systems, there are no simple answers. That makes people with savior complexes lost, because their divine agency of guns and loyalty and providence disintegrate. It makes their egos explode. So they fight it. An ego death is a death, and Republicans need it to be at most 1983 to live, so they fight anything post Regan with an existentially threatened metabolism.

Then, there’s the alternative. The people who the threatened believe they are fighting, who, though they have shown their neck and backtracked and conceded and genuflected, are somehow still seen as the enemy. #democrats are the most inconsequential that they have ever been. To fight means to act or to react. The religious right owns reaction. So, Dems have to be cast as actors, but they are demonstrably not. At a gun fight with a strongly worded letter, they are uniquely unfit for the time

But, because the reagents need agents, the Dems are cast by the eternally emotional, by the children powers that be, as the Enemy, as the profane, the usurper, the unholy. Whether or not Dems are those things (they fell on swords decades ago and try to fight with the lances lodged in their own inner beings), they don’t have even the rhetorical skill to assuage from other to adjacent, or to actually fight. They are a party of piñatas who can’t get off the hook, because their hooks are bad.

Which is the final piece of the #trump failure exceptionalism conundrum: the powers that actually be. And they do be, and they be doing. Theirs is a fight for supremacy and ownership, the limits of which are singular individual solipsistic consciousness, socio psychopaths with psychological ICBMs, from which we see evidence of shit everywhere (I see bm, you see bm, we all scream in a shit show). They are self-labeled shepherds whose unhinged unilateralism is best described as buffet, and

Sheeple are the menu. In this system, of which fascism is a stage, feudalism a desire, and not Pan-consciousness, but uni-consciousness (the plural of a Bezos is a bozo, the distillation of which and reduction to provides mankind with the grandness it is naturally inclined toward), is the inevitable output. has allowed, enabled, #trump to “fail” up. The useful idiot smirking face is the brand, and brands are easily supported in a monopolistic vacuum. The fact that the combination of economic and diplomatic and avowing journalistic factors hasn’t been glommed by the ostensible enemy, the fuddy duddy doofus dems who fight for, rather than 1983, 1994, is evidence of their inability to move the needle. They can’t even see the weapon for the trees, because the entire forest is the weapon.
