It would be nice to see the entire sales, marketing and PR industry banned as a public nuisance.
Such a move would likely make political elections much more representative too.

@ReggieHere Canada has laws, but it doesn't work https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/phone/telemarketing/tobligations.htm
My cell gets several spam calls a day. I've set it to 'do not disturb', so it only rings if the caller is in my contacts.
Our land line also gets several a day - even the phone company does it and last time the caller id was forged to show the local college!
It's a global menace, and every measure that's introduced to stop the harassment needs to be constantly updated to keep up with the workarounds.
Ban marketing altogether. It's abusive coercion.
@ReggieHere I agree I hate ads and only see them in the street here and there.
You may know of this:

Another large city has done it too, but I couldn't even remember which country. I love the after picture :-)
That is fascinating, thankyou.

More:
"São Paulo, Brazil, became the first city to almost completely ban corporate advertising, in 2007 removing 15,000 billboards and 300,000 shop-front signs. In 2014 Grenoble in France replaced all billboards with trees and community noticeboards in a bid to “reduce citizen stress”. Last year, Amsterdam became the world’s first city to ban adverts that promote high-carbon industries."
