My version of the lady or the tiger

"Our entire process is modern, secure, and 100% digital. From our secure client portal and online intake forms to electronic scoring, we use technology to provide a fast, efficient, and convenient experience, whether in-person or via telehealth."

As someone who almost certainly has ASD, this ASD evaluation process is already giving me the heebie jeebies. It's going to be a shitload of "on a scale of 1 to 10" questions, I just know it.

Pain doctor appointment on Friday the 13th. I hope Dr. Voorhees knows some stuff about pain

It's uncanny the percentage of phone calls I receive that occur when I'm pooping.

Each time I have to call them back there are more hoops to jump through—options have changed, dial 24 for accounts payable, 25 for shipping, your call is important to us so keep on holding, etc—I get closer to just answering the damned call and letting them deal with the pooping.

Look, I'm sorry I'm making you do your job but you don't need to explain to me that you are having to do your job because of a choice I made that inconveniences you.

Yesterday I had a healthcare provider explain to me that she was listening to me even though she wasn't looking at me, she just has to take notes longhand because I didn't consent to letting AI do it.

"Attempted murder suspect shot Vancouver restaurant employee over food order"

I used to get takeout food from this restaurant. The food was really good, but ordering and picking up already ordered food was always a very frustrating experience. Understanding this urge to shoot someone over lack of basic processes which causes every customer to have to loiter around the counter is a big part of why I don't carry a gun. And why I wish that no one else carried guns either

As I sit here rotisserieïng myself in front of my electric heater (something I recently discovered is a self-soothing behavior that I share with my sister despite growing up in separate households) anxious about an appointment, I get a text saying unforeseen circumstances have canceled that appointment until further notice.

I'm pretty sure I manifested that

I love it when Jenna Maroney (my least favorite 30 Rock character) drops real knowledge out of nowhere amid all her crazy outbursts. "Actually, there hasn't been a white Disney princess since 1991," has lived in my head since like 2008. It was not something many people had thought of, but also incredibly clear why Jenna would know that (and also be annoyed by it.) That's clearly the only reason Jenna hadn't been asked to portray a Disney princess.

I'm surprised the Woke-ret Police haven't pressured Disney to alter their history the way they have all the other branches of the US government.

Parents, PLEASE check your kids Halloween candy for PHP CVE-2026-109618

A while back I made it halfway through a recent movie download before I realized it was recorded with a camcorder inside a movie theater. Camrip tech has gotten a lot better in the last couple decades. The visuals were great, but I kept hearing people cough and eat popcorn around me.

(I had headphones on. Unclear whether they captured it binaural style on purpose or if that's just how it came out.)

I remember when the McRib Spice Latte didn't have McRib in it. Idiot consumers ruining everything for me 😣

Waiting for the jQuery exploit that affects 93% of the internet 🙄

Edit: ok, I exaggerated. Today's numbers show that jQuery is only 85% of the internet. (For comparison sake, React is 8%.)

I can't remember what show it was, but some show was talking about "last meal" strategies if you're ever on death row. The conclusion was that the McRib and the Shamrock Shake are almost never available at the same time, so that's the best meal option if you want to drag out an appeal

McRib season is overlapping with egg nog season 😬

i like symbolism of the NBA player slamming the ball onto the spine of the stag. a chilling message that the Blazers will break the back of this city if we do not acquiesce to their demands.

Never thought I was going to need to mute PHP. That the PHP Foundation has an "AI Security Engineer in Residence" seems to have been lost in the kerfuffle.
