I must be like the only trans American who kinda doesn't give a shit about Halloween.

You're saying we could be rid of ChatGPT AND data centers? This sounds like an absolute win!

One thing I wish more het people would understand from gay and bi people is how genuinely unsexy nudity is when it's not in the context of sex.

It's pretty bullshit that suddenly the industry is saying you need to spend hundreds of dollars of money per month to code. Not even 5 years ago, you could write production code on a potato quality laptop you got for free from your neighbor who was throwing their old ones out.

Give yourself a hug from me today. You're doing the best you can and I'm glad to be sharing a Fediverse with you.

(Unless you're a racist or fascist that found me somehow. In that case, fuck off and die.)

How would one travel with a fursuit anyways? A lot of those heads look like they wouldn't even fit in a suitcase to be able to go on a plane.

If I won billions of dollars in the lottery, I'd build a Gay Lab where we can research heretofore unknown levels of gay. Make a Large Gay Collider so we can accelerate gay to nearly the speed of light and try to find the fundamental theory of gay.

If being gay was a choice, I'd choose to be gayer.

It's always a kinda weird and awkward conversation to have to walk a "normie" through being able to identify fash dog whistles. Like last month I had to explain to someone why the "thin blue line" flags are a racist dog whistle.

It's kinda pathetic that for a huge swath of celebrities, the thing they're most afraid of is getting in a situation where they're forced to publicly take a side for or against genocide.

Spicy take: I kinda agree that pull requests to major mission critical open source projects like the Linux kernel should be limited to people who are signing up for developing on it like hundreds of hours a year. It can't be on the maintainers to manage endless drive by pull requests - especially in the era of slop commits from every dork with a Copilot subscription. Let new blood cut their teeth on smaller less mission critical projects first.

Besides, plenty of TRANS WOMEN have ALSO been raped and traumatized by men. And by women.

And cis women raped and traumatized by women.

I VEHEMENTLY reject the idea that it would ever be legitimate to exclude trans women from a woman's group or women's bathroom or whatever because of someone's trauma around men.

That sort of rhetoric has been weaponized against minorities for years to justify their exclusion. "I'm afraid of lesbians". "I'm afraid of Black people". "I'm afraid of Muslims." "I'm afraid of Jewish people." "I'm afraid of lower class people". Etc.

I'm beyond done with being accommodating of white women tears to drive trans women away because of "fears of men". Trauma is real, and we should be aware of it, and accommodate it where possible , but wielding your trauma to exclude vulnerable minorities from public spaces is some hot garbage.

Can I get like ... A cyber neck? Or Cyber knees? Not because I want to jump 30 feet high, but just because it'd mean the damn joints don't hurt when I sleep badly.

Trans people: "We would like basic healthcare, people calling us by our names, and treating us as our gender."

Transphobes: So you want to mutilate children!

Trans people: What? No! What the fuck are you talking about?!?

Transphobes: So you want to rape women then!

Trans people: Hunh? Wait a second, how did you get to that conclusion? Fuck no!

Transphobes: You're basically calling for the downfall of Western Civilization then!

Trans people: Yes! Well... But not because of that, that's a whole separate issue. Right now we're just talking about healthcare and names.

It makes me feel old when my colleagues not only haven't seen Office Space, but never even heard of it. Because some of them wouldn't even be born for a few more years when it released.

There's no "the good old days when software was good". It's always been garbage.

Software "engineering" was a shithole of quality and stability and security even before we added slop to it all. And the slop was trained off of that shithole.

When you're at the age where your birthday wish list basically just resembles your shopping list you haven't gotten around to yet.

I can't think of any before Interview with a Vampire came out in 1975, but maybe there was something before that.
