I honestly don't think I've seen such a clear example of time & effort being wasted as a result of blind reliance on AI before.

Let's be clear, it probably won't take that long to fix as a lot of the work will still be applicable (as long as the implementation wasn't AI-drivel too)... but, seriously, all for the sake of not spending the time to read the actual standard?

I'm Dave. I work in security as a consultant (not narrowing it down much then so far...). I've generally lurked on the periphery of the best online security world for a few years now but not hugely involved... mainly because I'm not here "dropping zero-days" or doing a BBC interview every other day. I'd say that what I do falls somewhere between GRC, architecture and general strategic advice & guidance, but meh... inaccurate labels. Mostly doing this in the context of Cloud setups right now, but I'll rarely post about work due to NDAs and the fact that it's boring.

Before getting into consultancy I was in the military - which is probably where I get my political interest from, as well as my incredibly dry (and sometimes crass) sense of humour. (Honestly, I don't mean to offend anyone, but sometimes dark jokes can tickle you just right)

My infrequent toots about security-related topics are likely to be drowned out by some political/philosophical posts (although I plan to keep the politics a lot more positive than the animosity the birdsite's culture encouraged), pictures of my dog/reblogs of other dog pics, and toots whereby I fool myself into believing I can regain the fitness and health of my youth.

Maybe one day I'll also be brave enough to post about things that I largely keep to myself - like an incredibly amateur interest in photography and maybe one day re-attempting the OSCP.

Also, I'm partial to a good pun. Expect those too.
