Been playing Breath of the Wild on the Switch 2 and been taking a lot of photos and the work it takes to get them off the system and in a viewable form is a pain in the butt!

A pastoral view of a village with buildings. In the distance at the center of the frame is a large tattered flag on a pole. On the left of the frame is a woman with cornrows and elvish ears and big red lips standing profile with her head turned to the camera with a judging look.
A pastoral view of a town. Two women in the center of the frame are talking in the distance. On the right of the frame is a woman in a red apron and short brown hair waving with one hand and carrying a broom in the other.
A picture of three men sitting on the ground by a large tree and a cooking pot that sits over a campfire. The man on the left of the frame is wearing a white shirt and blue vest and has brown hair and elvish ears. The man right from cetner is wearing a blue vest with yellow. He has a bald head and elvish ears. The man on the far right is wearing a blue vest and has a large bowl brown bowl cut haircut and a big brown mustache.
an intense picture of a woman with her head pointed down and eyes looking up at the camera in the center of the frame. She has shoulder-length brown hair parted down the center and large elvish ears. She has a white collared shirt under a blue dress with a blue-gemmed pendant.

More Breath of the Wild Screenshots (before I learned how to get them without the blue lines.) Also I love me a good video game dog.

A man with a large, balding head and a red combover stands in front of a workbench with a mortar and pestle and test tubes. He wears a blue neckerchief, a black apron and black work gloves. around his waist is a tool belt with various test tubes of colored liquid. He is scowling.
A woman with brown hair is riding a brown horse. She has a red neckerchief on and a shield on her back.
A woman with shoulder-length hair and elvish ears is smiling to the left of the frame of the camera.
A Brown dog is lying on the grass playfully.

Even more Breath of the Wild Screenshots (before I learned how to remove the blue lines). I just love capturing the everyday vibes of the villages in Breath of the Wild and Hateno village is no exception.

An old woman with elvish ears and gray hair looks to her right at the camera with a forlorn look on her face.
The image is of an old man sitting on a stool with his back to the camera and on top of a hill. He is looking out at the slowly spinning top of a windmill.
A portly man in brown overalls and work gloves glowers at the camera at the left of the frame. He has long greenish-brown hair that sits loosely over his face. To the right of the frame is a pack donkey carrying a heavy load of sacks.
A series of stacked painted rocks in arbitrary formations with fog in the background

Breath of the Wild Screenshots of Hateno Village (Before I learned how to get them without the blue lines.) The Bulls are so cute in this game.

A brown steer with large, upward curving horns. The horns are wrapped in a green, beige and red fabric that curl to the top of the animal's head where they drape loosely.
The image is of an old man with elvish ears and gray hair looking sadly at the camera. He sits at the left of the frame in front of a series of blue banners with a crescent moon on them.
A man with brown hair pulled back into a ponytail is moving hay with a pitchfork. He has a red scarf and brown overalls.

@Bogusmeatfactory Are those photos of the TV? What's with the vertical blue lines? You mean it's even worse than Switch 1's cumbersome QR code + local server + save PNG procedure?

@jefklak nope those are screenshots. Because breath of the wild has a "camera mode" that isn't actually a camera mode, you have to take a photo with the Sheikah Slate, take a screenshot of the photo, avoiding the Sheikah Slate filter (which is those blue lines that will ALSO glow vibrantly over the image), upload the photo to the nintendo app, download them on to your phone and crop the image to remove the UI. It is a pain in the butt

@Bogusmeatfactory When you say upload to the Nintendo app; I presume that's the Switch 2 specific part? I don't want a friggin' app to just get those screenshots off the device 🙃 So the Switch 1 option of creating a local server is completely gone?

@jefklak that's still available as an option, but in the case of breath of the wild, the app makes it so it is a clean version of the photo you take without the blue lines and cropping issues.

@jefklak Okay an addendum is being made. In the nintendo app is Zelda Notes, which allows you to import your photos to the app without the dumb filter extremely easily. Oh thank God.
