This article was very timely. We're about to begin the process to move Shellie away from the WordPress nightmare and onto Ghost. Time for a fresh start.

I've been using the service at Magic Pages since early this year for my own newsletters, and it's been super low stress. Has really made my life better. Learning how to carve up templates in Ghost to achieve the creative endpoint you want is maybe the hardest part for me.

Also a big thankyou to @sturmsucht who first put me onto the folks at @hey. Having a dedicated service that offers an affordable option for hosting and maintenance is a real treat. I'm a photographer not a sysadmin!
