    My best friend's contractor didn't show for work yesterday.

    Last night, his brother showed up and knocked on his door.

    "My brother was picked up by ICE at his immigration hearing. When he called me, he told me to come to your house and finish the job." They gave him money and told him to go home.

    My friend found a lawyer for the contractor last night, but as he said, "I'm not sure if I'm more shaken as an American or as a Jew."

    We have to end this nightmare.

    It's only a matter of time — perhaps literally just weeks — before they come for anyone that opposes them. No one is safe. Some are only temporarily safer. They're not aware of that yet but they will be soon.

    For those who find themselves confronted by a situation involving ICE (as a witness for example) but don't have a ton of help to offer, two basic actions you can take are:

    1) film the abduction

    2) If there are family members or friends left behind, provide them with the footage as critical evidence and at a minimum you can give them this resource: icerrt.com/

    This site provides state and national contacts for different immigrant defense groups like the ACLU etc.

    There are multiple times I have seen Jewish people say this both in the United States and in Germany, individuals are terrified of the idea that as the offspring of holocaust survivors, they are faced with the prospect of being jailed as antisemites for opposition to a genocide.

    From what I recall of the individual being interviewed, he said, I am being stripped of my identity and then jailed

    I'm a citizen,born here but I'm married to an immigrant with an immigrant step kiddo. ICE was caught on camera taking someone only a few streets away on Tuesday. We are terrified. We've lived terrified for a couple years now.

    @jkirkendall merely ending the nightmare isn't enough.

    We must bring the most extreme, maximal, final consequences to any and all who provided *any* support for the MAGAt regime and its gestapo.

    Anything else is just asking for a repeat in 1-2 generations.
