Oct 14, 2026, 2:40 AM@mhoye What I have been thinking for a while. Is that they wanted to make their chatbot sound impressive, so they called it "AI". But once they'd done that they still needed something to reach for, so they coined "AGI" as the next thing. But then they realized they had to appear to be making progress, so they're starting to claim that their chatbot is now "AGI". What I figure is they're going to need some step after "AGI" to continue the loop and I wonder when they'll land on "weakly godlike"
