My wish for searching in map apps in 2027: an option to not change the map. Can’t find something? Fine, say so, maybe offer zoom out button. I am hiking or biking and trying to find nearby food/lodging/etc and do not want to move the map back to my carefully positioned view after you’ve messed it up showing sponsored results 70 miles away.
@jerzone Also, could I please just turn off the rotation feature entirely? It's never intentional, it's always just a slightly misaligned pinch zoom. I never want up to be anything other than north!
@attoparsec that and 3D!
They have a button to switch between 2&3d, but just had to sneak in a gesture too.
