Tested positive for #COVID last night; several co-workers are out sick, one had to go to the hospital. Be careful out there, keep masks handy and get that updated COVID and flu shot if you're able to!

Relative to the cost of a day's work, or the risk to health, $1 for an N95 is cheap!

Thank you for doing the great public service of announcing your infection here on Mastodon. I hope that learning of your infection will prompt other people to take precautions. Many people in my life have been making statements about being "under the weather", which is too vague to serve as a wake-up call.
I don't usually offer unsolicited advice, but FWIW, I found this file by @ducky enormously helpful when covid was in my home: https://covidbc.webfoot.com/what-to-do-if-you-get-covid-19/
Please note that one thing mentioned in the file, nasal irrigation, requires using STERILE water. Using regular tap or bottled water without first boiling it (then allowing it to cool) would be dangerous. The file mentions that, but it can be easy to overlook that detail when sick and/or stressed.

@Lkdc @ducky Thank you! And yeah, that's been my experience at work lately, it didn't really occur to anyone that COVID was making the rounds again until 6 co-workers were out sick at the same time. Thankfully my symptoms are pretty mild, but I'm getting stocked up again on N95 masks which I'll be keeping with me and using even after I'm all better.
@rvaweather That sucks! I hope it doesn't hit you too hard and is over soon.
I get my Covid shot this afternoon. I had it once and I do not want to get it again, or at least want to be protected from its worst effects.
Better still: Wear those masks.
