UPDATE: Here’s the Sweet Corn Sourdough, hot out of the oven! I have to say, this one surprised me. The dough was extremely wet and slack. I wasn’t counting on it rising much at all, but it turned out well! Shows what i know, lol. #Sourdough #BreadPost

A recently baked loaf of bread rests on a cooling rack, showcasing a dark, crusty exterior with a golden interior visible through small cracks. The cooling rack is placed on a smooth, dark countertop.

@Dr_Bombay I'm super surprised that it came out perfect. The way you described it, wet and flat, it didn't seem promising that it would rise at all! I so need to get back into my bread making mode. Since I've moved, all I've been eating is store bought trash bread. The microwave in this trailer is supposedly a convection oven, but it isn't very large. At the very least, I should get my bread making machine out of storage...

@elaterite Bread machine loaves would be better than store bought, for sure. In addition to this dough being so wet and slack, it just wasn’t rising very well during the first proof on the counter. I let it go for 2.5 hrs, and it still seemed flat and sluggish. I just shaped it as best I could and put it in the fridge overnight and hoped for the best. Surprises all the way through!
