The ambassador lost her job not for doing the thing, but for getting CAUGHT doing the thing. And we should not let it slide that she was caught because we (for now) have a free press, and there are reporters out there doing great work. Support the media!
Oh dear. I definitely will see this, but I am also completely sure that I'm going to cry through it. 🥰 🏳️🌈 😭

John Prine is sadly gone, but this weekend would've been his 80th birthday. In honor of his memory, NPR's Fresh Air program is re-airing this delightful interview with him. I miss him more than ever all over again. #Music #JohnPrine
I have a new working theory that David Byrne and Paul Rudd have the same health regimen and skin care routine. Or maybe some super-rare anti-aging gene. Something’s working for them, that’s for sure.
UPDATE: Here’s the Sweet Corn Sourdough, hot out of the oven! I have to say, this one surprised me. The dough was extremely wet and slack. I wasn’t counting on it rising much at all, but it turned out well! Shows what i know, lol. #Sourdough #BreadPost
Baking day! My corn sourdough will be going into the oven within the hour. As always, I'll post pix when it comes out. #BreadPost #Sourdough
Hastert AND Bakker on the same day? What is this, the land of Happy Happy Joy Joy??
I forgot to mention -- it's time for me to bake more bread! Today I've been working on this yummy looking harvest corn sourdough from Breadtopia -- they always seem to be able to pique my interest with seasonal sourdoughs. Tomorrow, we bake! #Sourdough #BreadPost
I’m so old I remember when the OS fit on a handful of 128k floppies. TWELVE GIGS for just some A.I. crap, omg.
Hmm. Food for thought. A meditation, of sorts. I need to ponder this piece some more. #BurningMan

Went to bed at 9pm once this week, and terrifyingly, it was AWESOME. This is the entry drug that leads to eating dinner with the blue hairs at 4pm, isn’t it?
This is your annual reminder that it’s time to start reading Roger Zelazny’s delightful “A Night In The Lonesome October.” Remember, each chapter is 1 day in October, so resist the urge to read ahead! 🐺🧛♂️💀👻🎃
This is interesting. And here I am, apparently fitting right in with my cohorts. #GenX
Gen X is drinking more as younger Americans cut back on alcohol, study finds:

hmmm, a recipe for a vegan pork belly analogue. normally I'm just fine with a marinated, seared tofu for things like a Bahn Mi, but this is a new technique to me, and I think I want to try it:
Creepy Christians at the door, stumping for their bible. The woman doing all the talking was so over-the-top nice, but also noticeably nervous in some hard to define way that I was tempted to whisper to her, “Are you ok? Is this a hostage situation? Blink twice if you need help.”
Just advanced notice: Bread baking season is back, and I spent part of today working dough, so tomorrow be ready to put up with more of my bread pix… #BreadPost #Sourdough

HEY, FEDIVERSE, WE NEED TO TALK. How come it took me HALF my day to realize what day it is?? You’re letting me down! #DoYouRemember
I don’t have Insta, so I can’t see all of them, but this is a fun idea: “Richard Scarry illustrations, but I changed the text to Karl Marx quotes”: https://www.instagram.com/p/Dco27Hvk_KP #Sourdough #Baking
I know I'm just a hobbyist, an amateur, and I don't know anything about running my own bakery -- but there is no way in hell that a loaf of rye bread can be worth $60. $20 *maybe*, and I'm thinking perhaps more like $15. This can't just be NYC pricing. It must be incredibly savvy marketing, engineered to create outrage/hype. #BreadPost
A New Bakery Makes One Bread and One Bread Only - Rye’s speciality is a stunning Austrian sourdough. Each loaf costs $60. https://www.grubstreet.com/article/martin-auer-rye-bakery-opening.html
