The former Phoenix Assurance Building on St Vincent Street in central Glasgow. Designed by Alex D. Hislop and constructed in 1912, it was one of the first American-influenced Modern Classical style mini-skyscraper in the city. The same style was quickly adopted by other financial institutions, including the nearby Bank of Scotland building designed by James Miller in the mid-1920s.

The location is a very complicated and prominent one, historically a lovely old hotel serving railroad passengers nearby, now a giant surface parking lot on the most prominent road in the City. Notably this site backs up to the first public housing built in the City, Westhaven.

I see only two action items, but only the first will produce a vote, which is "Special Exception Request - 843 W Main Street [PL-26-0126]" a proposal I have already posted a fair bit about before.

As reported, there are no public hearings, so the only opportunity to speak is early on, before the "Action Items" and any topic works, it doesn't have to be on the agenda
