    plot twist! announcer also just told us the train will wait for us

    now, do I still want to use it or not…

    I switched trains

    reached the new train without issue and plenty of time to spare

    now we'll find out if it really makes it to Berlin first ^^ having only one more stop in between (Halle) rather than three (Leipzig, Bitterfeld, Lutherstadt Wittenberg) ought to help

    also I figured they must have a good reason for making this train wait for us ^^ maybe the other one gets fuller? idk

    (the train manager(?) told us about the waiting train several times but stopped short of giving a recommendation)

    the new train is arriving on time, ca. 5 minutes ahead of the old one according to the app \o/

    (the old train also *almost* managed to make up its delay, it has 3 minutes left ^^)
