I've been trying to wrap up a long-gestating blog post about sysops reusing/remixing old public domain ANSI art ... and today I got sidetracked again, learning of an artist I hadn't heard of before.

Her name was Violet Stymacks. She drew and gave away BBS welcome screens from 1990-95. She signed her pieces "vs".

She has a 16colors page at https://16colo.rs/artist/vs, but it only shows 134 pieces. She drew WAY more than that. I have located 1,100+ !

Unfortunately, she died in 1995.
