For the whole journey? When I took that journey in April, it was a coach to Albury and the proper train the rest of the way, which was just about acceptable. A bus for the whole journey, unless it’s one of those rock tour buses with flat beds, would be rough.

@acb @ajsadauskas Yes, this was a single bus all the way from Southern Cross to Central.

It was worth it for the experience, but I probably wouldn't do it again!
