When I first had enough money to buy a laser printer, I realised how much of my life had be ROBBED BY THE TINY, OILY HANDS OF INKJET PRINTERS.
It takes a fucking lot to make me miss an Epson FX80.

@Jyoti I remember moving from an extremely loud Star LC-10c dot 9-pin dot matrix to an Epson colour inkjet in the early 2000s and thinking in was super futuristic, until we discovered it was cheaper to throw it in the bin and buy another one than to buy a new pair of colour and ink cartridges.
In contrast, I had a dirt cheap "rejuvenating" spray can of black ink that would keep the Star's black ribbon going...
Eventually we found a shop that could refill the inkjet cartridges, although we met a few printers that tried to prevent this with bullshit anti-competive countermeasures. One of the scammiest, probably illegal areas of the consumer hardware industry.
