You know how lots of Thai restaurants (at least Thai restaurants in Australia) do puns and wordplay in their names based on the “Thai”/“tie” homophone? This one gets some credit for originality: “Senn Noods”.
I went and looked at their menu.
And their website.
It’s intentional. Very much so. Full credit for their absolute commitment to the bit.
@raaahbin it’s also around the corner from my apartment, I’ve been wanting to try their pad thai but I needed to try the Tibetan and Nepalese and Sri Lankan and proper Mexican too. The whole street is fun.
@emmadavidson @raaahbin sen is also like a qualifier? Or category? Of noodles. Like you would order sen yai for fat and sen lek for small. Apologies if I've just repeated the joke
@arichtman @raaahbin I reckon it would be a good place for a date. Not relevant to me at this point in my life, but it’s a street for the bright young things and the centre of the local LGBTIQ+ scene.
