Another possible trigger for a likely AI-related 'correction' (financial crisis), has been proposed by Ellen Carr (a bond analyst): lease liabilities on data centres.

Many AI & related technologies' 'hyperscalers' are already carrying significant future lease liabilities ahead of data centre build-out(s), a liability that if things change might be difficult to fulfil, driving creditor action(s) to recover funds, driving a crisis as firms struggle to pay up?

@ChrisMayLA6 if we don’t get rid of the enabling Republicans and Trump, I wouldn’t put it past this corrupt “administration” to use tax payer dollars to buy out those leases. As they similarly and egregiously have done already by buying real estate and other real property at vastly inflated values from donors etc. example ICE land and facilities. And airplanes.

@ChrisMayLA6 The AI datacenter debt crisis is actually much larger than the profitability crisis. IIRC Open AI has 500 billion is obligations on the books. Oracle owes between 165 and 280 billion on its soon to be failed Project Jupiter.
