If you thought the Copenhagen to Hamburg connection is bad, well, it seems that in December it will be getting worse. Because there are no IC3 with both ETCS and PZB and the Danish line will be ETCS from January, the Fredericia to Flensburg service will be cut back to Padborg with a replacement bus for the rest, making this backup connection worse or useless, depending on whether the transfer in Flensburg will still work.

The Germans were supposed to take over that bit December next year but with yet another train that Alstom is incapable of delivering, so that’s not going to happen.
