there are now officially more people who told Claude to build a game with my WonderSwan toolchain than ones who did it by hand. i feel like i failed somewhere, but i don't know what i did wrong for this to be the outcome

it seems to me that even if you built the most craft-appreciating community around WonderSwan homebrew, there would always* be people outside of it who just use Claude to build games w/o interacting with the community.

in theory you could've made toolchain documentation accessible only on WonderSwan itself, so that LLMs can't read it, but like...

would that still be fun for the users who don't use LLMs?

*not always but definitely in 2026

@asie :ena: one could say it's not the fault of the developer of the toolchain, but of the people who do not care to actually figure out how to use it.

i'd think that's the case here.

I don't think it's the "fault" of those people either; at the end of the day, they are enjoying themselves in their own way.

My main frustration is social. I hoped to foster a community of interaction and collaboration, but the way I build homebrew with the toolchain and the way a vibe coder does have essentially nothing in common. (Besides, even with subsidized subscriptions, the price of vibe coding as a hobby is not something a lot of passionate people can afford. It would influence the social structure of the community.) At the end of the day, there's not much we share beyond "cool, claude, i guess", and I'm not all that interested in socializing with robots - unless someone happens to kin Adachi Rei, in which case--
