i've been talking for a while about how embracing LLMs turns communities into pay-to-win spaces, where access to capital matters increasingly more over human connection and talent

i'm glad to see checks notes Linus Torvalds!? echo that sentiment, except he's squints at notes embracing this!?!?

town of zzt still got hands

Everyone needs to see this and also acknowledge why reverse engineering is a super power.

Guy reverses the dark patterns of mobile apps and publishes it, absolutely love it!

This is a long shot, but: does anyone have access to a Supermicro H11DST-B *version 2.x* motherboard?

We (@hswaw) suspect that the only important difference with 1.x is a larger NOR flash for the firmware. If so, a little hot air action would allow an upgrade to Zen 2 CPUs, and get big perf/power-efficiency gains on a budget.

Boosts much appreciated!

The most frustrating part of forging your own path is negotiating over what is possible with the universe and the fucking demiurge. And they're laughing. The demiurge is fucking laughing.

there are now officially more people who told Claude to build a game with my WonderSwan toolchain than ones who did it by hand. i feel like i failed somewhere, but i don't know what i did wrong for this to be the outcome

looking for recommendations on reading i could do (books, articles) written by people or communities whose skills had been obsoleted throughout history about how they dealt with it

thank you to the Poznań crew! onwards, for Spezi!

say hi in Poznań tomorrow or in Wrocław on Friday/Saturday. IF YOU DARE

The phrase "a flash of inskiration" will forever be added to my vocabulary. Thank you, KiraKira PreCure localizer. You should be proud of your pun game.

Started watching KiraKira Precure. The second episode in particular - the one introducing Himari - felt therapeutic to watch.

@Wearwolf@kind.social A friend did further research and apparently it looks for "X11". Quoting:

nine people in, the answer is "they actually did"

Is it just me and a friend, or did http://support.lenovo.com block specifically Linux user agents?

what do you mean "Despera is coming out in 2027 as a manga"

Reading the Wandering Witch manga. I expected something different from the cover - never judge a book by it, I guess! However, I like what I am reading considerably more than what I expected, so - yeah!
