Video Clip: Candidate for US Senate TX James Talarico
“Why do we have a trillionaire when veterans are sleeping on the streets? The reason poverty exists is not because we can’t feed the poor, it’s because we can’t satisfy the rich.”

I'm really looking forward to voting for him in 12 days
Oct 8, 2026, 2:53 AM@mastodonmigration I love the quote. I’m glad it is resonating with IRL voters. I’m glad a candidate with a chance of winning is saying it.
Mastodon people read this particular quote months ago. I like it here.
Talatirco has been in something of a backlash for his pivot to an anti-trans position, in an effort to try and gain rightwing voters he has been throwing trans people under the bus.
"Talarico himself has explicitly come out in favor of banning transgender athletes from competing in girls’ sports — and the platform, a conservative-leaning cable news outlet, was also notable, as Talarico has sought to win over right-leaning voters"
