laxxiuslaxxius@vivaldi.netOct 7, 2026, 8:04 PM@jeffowski For them there are Acceptable ways of being autistic (trouble understanding sarcasm, being a little awkward) and UNACCEPTABLE ways of being autistic (inability to understand their instructions, acting like WE'RE the ones who know better right now).
They see us as emotionally inferior, so they're willing to accomodate us in ways that maintain that superiority, but not in any other way

They walk a centimeter to our kilometer and call it even, because they're used to never even having to get up. If they had to live a month like us, they'd jump of a building because they can't handle it. Yet they call *us* disabled.
It's not like they *can't* do it either, i've had them do it sometimes.
I want to respect people, think well of them. Most NTers just make it so friggin hard.

My experience too: Non-autistics allways expect autistics to function and to behave like non-autistics expect people to behave. Why are neuro-normals so fucking inflexible that they can't accept different behaviour?
