    Initiative Ökologie is examining the fundamentals and impacts of the chip factories around Dresden, Europe’s largest chip manufacturing hub. The discussion centres, among other things, on linking resistance against data centres with that against chip factories. A counter-conference or other forms of intervention are conceivable to coincide with the chip manufacturers’ conference (Industry Strategy Symposium Europe 2027) that takes place in Dresden in March 2027.

    Cottbus Umweltgruppe focuses on the mining projects in Lusatia. The discussion covers, among other things, how struggles for water justice are taking shape locally in Lusatia and what challenges exist in organising these efforts. We also discuss how local water scarcity is increasingly having a supra-regional impact and how groups can connect their protests across regions and coordinate local struggles over resource distribution.
