It was beautiful today, almost perfectly clear skies. So popped over to the garden centre to get some bark chippings for the raised bed at the front of the house.

Afterwards, took a drive to the coast, and walked along a pier for a coffee and some cake overlooking the strait.

There was no wind at all, the sea was perfectly calm all along the coast and down the strait and we were at the peak of high tide.

There was a slight haze to the view, but you could see all the way down the coast for miles.

A view from a pier looking across the sea, with land and mountains in the distance, the sky is mostly blue with some light wispy clouds. The sea is still and calm with no waves, just a gentle lapping of water on the shore.
