Can't seem to get WiFi working on my old laptop for the life of me. I use Ethernet because I've given up multiple times. But I believe in the power of Almighty Kernel. I'll get that damn thing working.- Alexis Jhon (AGR/AMKPBA)🇺🇦Lucss21a@mas.toOct 1, 2026, 3:37 AM
@retrimental From what I heard from a few Linux users, Realtek is practically the most painful to set up, and would recommend me Intel... mainly because of how Realtek handles their drivers apparently
argv[-1]argv_minus_one@mastodon.sdf.orgOct 1, 2026, 4:52 AMHuh. I remember when Realtek was one of the good ones, and it was Broadcom that you had to avoid like the plague.
Does one still need to avoid Broadcom like the plague?

@argv_minus_one @retrimental Nothing that I heard it seems. I'm pretty much still an amateur in terms of reading very recent forum posts for troubleshooting and StackOverflow... I might be wrong tho
