Unpopular hot take: if I get to choose a project where the responsible adults live and will simply do things safely, it’s petroleum refining and petrochemicals all damned week and twice on Sunday. They spend the money, take no shortcuts, the systems soldier on for two to three decades and get replaced.

The avante garde press darling chemical plants funded by vulture capital are completely the Wild West on the other hand.
