I've technically lived in #Greece for more than 2 1/2 years now, and I'm still discovering new details that, as they get added together, make the place feel like home.
I'm spending the morning today on a West-North-West-facing beach at the foot of some steep cliffs... which means that it remains in the shade for a long time in the morning, and is therefore cooler. Even better, it's 10 minutes from home and easily accessible.
This might be my new favorite beach for summer mornings.

@liilliil Great question. It depends on people.
I like to have at least 22-23C, which means that June-October tends to work for me unless it's unusually cold.
Folks who are OK with 20C get an extra month on either side of that.
Of course, with a wetsuit, it can be year-round, the water still averages 15C at the coldest of the year and is never below 13C.

@liilliil And, for precise numbers (and not just vague averages), the water is 27C today.

@skolima @liilliil Indeed, there's almost no overlap in the temperature range.
A few aspects of living in Greece might be unpleasant, but sea temperatures aren't in that category.
