"no politics" is a political statement. It's the statement that says "I'm comfortable with the current political landscape and I don't feel like getting it changed".

@jbqueru Right, I get taking a break, or not having politics as a hobby, but when people never never never give their thoughts on anything, I take that as a red flag.

@jbqueru I also understand just not having the words, which is my situation a lot of the time. I'm sad, angry, and scared, but beyond saying that over and over again, what else can I say? And I know everyone else is feeling that way, too, so me just adding to the noise won't be helping much.

@Fragglemuppet We can't all be expected to have a perfect fully-formed answer that would work for everyone. Not least because such an answer does not exist. Saying that the current system makes you sad, angry and scared is a great statement to make. It expresses the way you feel the best you can, and it allows others who feel the same to know that they are not alone, and that might help them speak up in a way that goes in a direction you like.

@jbqueru I’m uncomfortable with the political and social landscape but I am exhausted to the point that giving brain time to the natural consideration of the relevent problems causes the manifestation of negative physical health issues.

    So, no politics.

@digitalstefan I understand, I face the same struggle: if I go too far in what I express, the resulting exhaustion then comes back to be tenfold. I don't like what's going on in the politics of so many places that matter to me, but there's only so much I can say without having to detach myself from things for a very long time.

@jbqueru yes, but then people think they are being reasonable when they make sweeping statements like you made. I opt out of your classification and disagree with your idea.

You are implying a sequence of thoughts and decisions and a state of mind that never happened and doesn’t exist when you tell the world that you believe “no politics” has a specific meaning.

It invokes feelings of guilt for those who are simply exhausted. Most are too exhausted to point out the fallacy.
