To say Ed Sheeran is a profoundly annoying turnip-brained fool is to do a disservice to all root vegetables.
Pink and Macklemore have my sympathy for having to share the stage with him.
Ed Sheeran has stumbled into the fray and spoken of "trying to build bridges". He seemed to think this meant agreeing with promoters to kick Macklemore off the tour because they didn't like his support for Palestine. Ed Sheeran also tried to "both sides" the genocide by Israel in Palestine, and claimed he has opinions and wants to show support (for who or what?) but in his own personal way and not in public.
In other words, people are asking Ed Sheeran to step-up, and he refused to use his platform. He caved to political pressure and supports censorship of artists, like Macklemore, who he says he has "respect" for. He wants to stay silent.
Silence is complicity.
Ed Sheeran has sided with genocide.
