Better guitarists than me: there's this little two-bar solo in I Feel The Earth Move by Carole King, around 1:27. I've been playing it as transcribed below, with two changes of position (from 10th fret to 8th fret at the end of the first beat, then to 7th fret a couple of beats later). I've just realised I could play it all on the 10th fret, but for some reason it seems harder to play there. How would you play it?

It's the solo: C dorian, starting on F5, descending through an octave then twiddling its way down the next octave. I've transcribed it both in standard notation and as guitar tab, with the fingerings I've been using marked.
